Pirama

Pirama is a little village situated in the north western part of Chios Island. There is only a distance of 4 kilometers to the village of Volissos and 44 kilometers to the Capital. It s part of the Municipal Unit of Amani.

You will find the village on a hill’s flat top, 220 meters elevation. The population is super small! There are around 100 residences but just around 40 people populate this village. But nevertheless Pirama has a school and a cultural club. Well worth seeing are the Venetian Tower, the building of the school, the spread chapels and the church of St. John (Aghios Ioannis Prodromos). The village feast is celebrated on 29 August. So have a look at this special small place with a beautiful green surrounding and an amazing view into the nature, the mountains and hills, Managros beach and the clear blue water that surrounds whole Chios.
