Secrets of the Swamp

Greeks and Bulgarians soldiers struggle to get from the swamp, to secure for themselves a base to control the villages and to fight a common enemy: the Turkish occupation.
Written by Penelope Delta in 1937, this book represents one of the most dramatic chapters of Modern Greek history.

During the Macedonian battle, in 1906, two Greeks military Captain Agras and Captain Nikiphoros arrive at the swamp at Lake Giannitsa to lead their companions, but there are some interesting characters who took part of the plot: Jovan”the little Bulgarian”, Apostolis”the best guide of the Axios River”, the brave teacher Miss Electra, the mysterious Gregos, the revengeful Vasillis and Pericles a volunteer from Crete.
Who knows what else can happen.......
