Ridgway

Today I would like to introduce you to the band Ridgway. Created in the year 2014 Ridgway is a kind of new band which charmed a lot of people with their fun music.
The band has five members: Forest Bousquette, the singer, Jack Buzian and Jordan Kulp on the guitars, Eric Trignami on the bass and Keelan Scarth on the drums.

All of them graduated from the Hill Middle School, Novato, the San Marin highs and the Marin School of the Arts.
The music those five admire is differently between each other with the positive effect that the music they create can be liked by a lot of people with various preferences.
The main description for their genre is reggae-rock but their music is getting also influenced from other genres as the guitarist Buzian explains well: "We take great pride in writing and performing original songs. Much like the band itself, our music has collaboratively and organically evolved over time. We began with the idea of forming a simple reggae band but, given our different backgrounds and musical influences, we incorporated many genres of music: rock, reggae, hip-hop, tasteful metal and pop."
This kind of mix of the genres makes their music very pleasurable to hear and pushes one to move to the rhythm.
This evolution of the band, concerning the style of their music, gets also reflected in their name. When the band was formed their name was “Ridgway Space Station” but then their name changed into just “Ridgway”. This was, the guitarist Jack Buzian says, due the difficulty of the name: “The whole space station thing was too long. Nobody could remember it. Space station what? Space something? We decided to simplify it!”
Shortly after their debut they had already performed in the local music hot spots 924 Gilman, The Berkeley Club, Hopmonk Tavern, The Sleeping Lady, Phoenix Theatre, Sweetwater Music Hall, The Marin County Fair and some more.
Their last performance was on 2nd November but sadly there is no next date given because they are currently training a new drummer. Even so they promise that there will be upcoming shows, so stay tuned for them.
Now I wish you a lot of fun with their next, kind of calm song “Comfortable”.
