The Nemean Lion

The Nemean Lion is not a usual lion.
It is twice as big as a regular of his species and therefore needs also twice the amount of nutrition to stay strong.
As the Nemean Lion has never been a vegetarian, the people were really afraid of him and nobody wanted to fight him.

Nobody except for a quite special person, who was tasked to take the beast down, which had been terrorizing so many people around Nemea already.
First the challenger tried to shoot the monstrous creature with his arrows.
But the hide of the lion is impenetrable.
The disappointed challenger had to try something else:
As soon as the Nemean Lion entered a cave with two entrances, he blocked one of the doorways.
Thereupon he approached the fierce creature from the other side.
Ignoring the powerful claws and the loud, mighty roar of the Nemean Lion, he due to his strong arms was finally able to choke the creature to death.
