... humans never existed?

Have you ever asked yourself how the earth would look like if humans never existed?
There are a ton of things to take into account like animal diversity,
all the pollution humans produce, and the fact that humans are the only species
to actively destroy their own habitat.

Their are a lot of studies done on this subject as it is a topic that seems to
intrest a lot of people. One study done on the diversity of the animals shows
that especially in the Americas it would be greater than anything we currently see.
This is not due to the fact that the enviroment is favorbale for diversity, but
down to the simple reason of human hunting.

There is no species on earth that affects the environment as negatively as
humans do, there is also no species on earth that consumes as much as humans do,
and no species on earth that kills as much as humans do. Earth overshoot day is a
initative to show how badly we treat our planet. On the 1st August 2018
humans already used up all the resources the earth can regenerate within this year.

As well as all the animals, plants would also flourish without humans polluting
the enviroment and thereby taking away their source of live. There would probably
be a lot more biodiversity.

Obvioulsy we can not completely answer the question as we never know if another
intelligent species would have developed. We also do not know how balanced
the ecosystem would have been without humans as their might have been a superior
species that wipes out all live on earth including itself in the end.
However in this scenario the chances of the earth recovering are pretty good,
unlike if humans destroy the earth through nuclear weapons or other things
just as devastating as them.

Some people also argue that the world would have not been better of without
humans as their would have not been anybody to understand the concept of earth,
universe or even life. Therefore they even describe it as a waist if humans
never existed.
