Reole

Today I want to present you with yet another musician that has caught our eye. He is a Scottish music producer that goes under the name of . His name originates from 'Creole' an unique music style based off folk, that originated in 18th century New Orleans, where Reole was raised.

Born in Scotland, but quickly moving to New Orleans, Reole started off playing brass in the Mardi Gras parades. He then joined Richie Ruftone on pirate Radio, and now he produces for Ruftone. Together they are looking to defend Ruftones UK DMC Championship title this year after winning it twice before.

Reole made a name for himself by producing TV commercials for Zendell, where he provided drums, programming and mixing and got to work with some other top musicians. He later also worked with Sony, Suzuki, Yahoo and FIFA.

Reole's music is all about 'keeping it real'. By using tubes and valves and some 'special ingredients' he creates his own very unique sound, with jazz being his backbone. His music is often described as soulful and funky, and he completely avoids the use of auto-tune or other manipulation. His works draw on the ingredients of a popular dish from Louisiana in his childhood, gumbo soup. Reole believes that some underground singers/songwriters just deserve their name out there, people should just let the music do the talking.

Reole's first album 'Ya Heard Me' was released in 2013 and spread across the US and the mainland of Europe. Since then he has come a long way, and I can only recommend checking his music out.

The song you will be listening to at the end of the recording is 'Its A New Day feat. Sophie Mendoza' – by Reole of course.
