Niffler

Today you can test again you knowledge about the creatures of the Greek mythology. First you will get the information about the creature, then you can guess if its Greek and in the end you can check with the solution button if you were right. The creature, I present you today, is the Niffler.

First the creature's appearance: A Niffler looks a bit like a rodent, because of his size. It has a long snout, like a platypus' one, and a black fluffy fur. On their belly is a pouch, that is bigger than it seems when you see it.

Nifflers are attracted to shiny things. They can't stop to collect them. So if you see one, hold you shiny and sparkling stuff tight, otherwise it will disappear in the niffler's pouch. You will be surprised how fast the Niffler collects the shiny things and how many things fit into his pouch. They bring all the collected treasures into their liars. Those are located about 20 feet (ca. 6 m) underneath the ground. The Niffler of course also breed. One litter normally contains six to eight young Nifflers.

If a Niffler steals something from you, for example your coins and you are able to catch the Niffler, then you of course also want back your coins. To get them back, you have to hold the Niffler at the feet and then shake him upside down until all the treasures fall out of its pouch, once again, you will be surprised by the amount of shiny things.

Nifflers are harmless animals. They are only interested in their sparkling treasures, but they can evoke chaos running around quickly and stealing shiny things from humans or destroy things by collecting their sparkling treasures. It is not recommended keeping the as a pet. If you provoke a Niffler, it might attack you for his defense and bite you in your legs.
