Atoth

This week we will present to you the dreadful Atoth. The Atoth is a demon coming from the underworld. It has massive wings, flies and is completely pitch black. When there’s barely any light it even seems invisible. This incredibly fast creature uses this and waits until the sun sets to enter the world of humans and hunts for them.

But there is a restriction: it fears the light and is actually hurt by it. That’s why you only have to be afraid when there is neither the moon shining nor any other source of light around. If you happen to be in the dark and it notices you, which it easily does with its extremely strong senses, it will attack you. It waits on elevated places and as soon as you’re in the right position, it will attack from above and fly down on you and will grab you with its massive claws. Then it will again take off using its enormous strength and take you away. There are few that survived, because the monster was attacked and killed with big fires acting as light sources before it could take them away. As soon as it died though, it turned into a black shroud that simply disappeared and nothing else was left. All the others not being able to escape got carried away and never returned. Also, it’s not known where the people are being transferred to. The only thing you can really do to be safe from the Atoth, is to always stay in the light and always keep a light source near you to always be able to defend against this creature.
