Aloadae

Two brothers, Otos and Ephialtes, who were more than 30 foot tall and 10 foot wide and growing at an incredible rate, threatened the gods once. These creatures are called Aloadae. Maybe you can find out at the end of the video if the brothers are really part of the Greek mythology or not. Good luck!

Otos and Ephialtes are the sons of the god of the sea, Poseidon. They were extremely strong giants. Once, when they were just 9 years old they actually managed to kidnap Ares, the god of war, and keep him imprisoned in a bronze jar for 13 months. It was only due to their stepmother, who alerted Hermes, that Ares was finally rescued. Otherwise he might have stayed in there for quite a while. But by far their boldest plan was to storm the heaven and take Artemis for Otos and Hera for Ephialtes as wives. They put the mountains Ossa and Pelion on top of Mount Olympus using them as ladder to climb to heaven. However, they did not come far. Apollo shot them with his bow before they had any chance to get close to the gods. So, what do you think? Are those aggressive giants part of the Greek mythology or not? As always you will find the solution below.

Solution:
The Aloadae are really part of the Greek mythology. This story is true.
