Naga

 

Today's creature goes by the name of Naga and it is your task to find out if it is from the Ancient Greek Mythology or not. Good luck!

First of all, a Naga is often seen as half human and half cobra, and thanks to their powers, they can transform completly either in a human or a snake. They are known to be the guardians of the seas, lakes, and rivers, but also to live in the netherworld where they jealously protect the treasures of the earth. Therefor they are able to travel in water and underground.

It is said that their arced body symbolises a rainbow connecting the humans and the gods. With their powers and venom, they are to be feared by humans. Even if they are dangerous, they were often beneficial to humans.
