Pierce Murphy

It is getting colder here on the island Chios, autumn is coming. This also means a lot of rainy, colder and cloudy days. You basically just want to snuggle down in your blanket on your bed and listen to soft and relaxing music while watching out of your window. You can see the raindrops touching on the glass and you are surrounded by the warm and pleasant temperature of your blanket. For that I have the perfect artist for today band of the week. The name of the artist is Pierce Murphy.

The solo artist Pierce Murphy lives in the USA. You can classify his music in the category Jazz, Lofi and Soul. Apparently, music has always been pretty important for him and a big part of his live. Therefore, he even studied music in college and teaches and play Jazz. Pierce Murphy is also a member of some bands around Denver. This a lot of knowledge of music explains why his music sounds so professional and unique. Accordingly, he produces his music by himself. The solo artist already has released two albums which are called “Ellada” and “The Dirty Living Is Here To Stay”, both albums filled with harmonic music signed with a unique tune as well as great lyrics. His newest album “Ellada” was even written during his time in Greece. Therefore, some of his songs from the album have the name of certain Greek places like “Athens”, “Santorini” or “Knossos”. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have many views on his Jamendo profile yet, almost 77000. But I am still convinced he will become famous one day.

The instrument that is used the most is his few jazz-blues guitars, a drum and saxophone. The instruments create a great relaxing and cozy atmosphere enclosed with the soft voice of the artist. You directly get a great mood. Some of his popular songs are “Icebox” and “Versailles”. The songs contain a classy tone and relatable lyrics. In his songs he often describes his feelings and impressions of certain places as well as of a certain person. I hope I could give an impression of the solo Artist Pierce Murphy.
