Bayard Russell

I you define yourself as an indie-pop fan, you definitely should not miss the music of Bayard Russell, who is a singer-songwriter and bassist performing in the NYC area.



He has released a solo album entiteled “Selftitled” which is available on iTunes.
About the album the Neufutur Magazine wrote: “All that individuals need to do is stick the album in and be placed on clouds of indie rock that will float them along for the better part of an hour.”

Russell grew up in the suburbs of Indiana, and has been influenced by The Beatles and Ice Cube. Classically trained in piano from the tender age of four, he discovered the guitar in high school and his passion for pop music blossomed. He currently writes and records out of his home studio in Manhattan.

Bayard Russell has performed at New York venues such as Arlene’s Grocery, Trash Bar, Sidewalk Cafe, Bohemian Hall and in festivals like LIC House Party, Make Music NY, The Interdependence Project Festival and the annual IMC Festival.

In addition to his solo work, Russell is the bassist for Rockers Anonymous, a rock n’ roll cabaret in New York City that features the best of up and coming rock/pop singers and talents from the musical- theatre scene. He has written for and performed with the bands Karess, Clean Slate, The Very Nerve, Matt Jones Band, Negative Ken, The Botz and many others.
