Dada & The Weathermen

Do you have enough of these main stream pop stars who sound alike, look alike and act alike? Then I have a refreshingly different singer songwriter for you, who is everything but boring: Dada & the weathermen!

You see, it already starts with his name, did I promise too much? But let’s start from the beginning:

27 year old Dada was born with the oddly common name of Jonathan and has been living his youth in and around Paris. He found his real passion for music when he was 16 years old, after the discovery of his father’s old Rock ‘n Roll records. Browsing through dusty vinyls he met someone that changed his life forever: Jimi Hendrix. Suddenly he had found out that he wants his life to be about music and started to teach himself how to play the guitar. First he only covered famous bands like Led Zeppelin or the Beatles and the Stones, then he went on discovering different music STYLES like Folk music with Bob Dylan or Neil Young.

In the beginning of his songwriting career, Dada tried to imitate his idols. Quickly realizing he has his own special style, he finally got together a band of weathermen to play music. Exactly, you heard right: weathermen! If you don’t believe me, just listen to Dada’s personal definition of weathermen and you will understand this weird but genius band name:

“The Weathermen are anyone, everyone and no one at the same time. They are every characters who play a part at any point in Dada’s artistic journey. They are simply every state of mind he is in at the moment he writes a song. But the Weathermen can also be real people. They can be musicians, technicians, photographers or even cab drivers.”

So now that we now who Dada and the weathermen is or better, who they altogether are, why don’t we listen to his great song Human Light from his freshly released album folK.itUp!
