Luzius Stone

Using his strong and passionate voice as his main instrument Luzius Stone is writing and performing his own songs which are meant to reflect what is going on inside of him. With his beat driven tunes, rhythmic and slightly aggressive lyrics that are a contrast to the chant-like melodies he manages to catch the listener’s attention effortlessly and leaves us stuck between the desire to dance immediately to the contagiously energetic beats and being bemused by the lyrics, immersing in deep thoughts about the sense of live and whatsoever.

Luzius Stone alias Justin Miles grew up in North Carolina. One of his biggest role models was his dad who was disfigured by burns from an accident in his childhood but despite everything grew up to a very successful man. When Luzius’ father died during his teenage years this was influencing his music strongly. “A lot of the music I make is based on pain and things I’ve gone through,” he admits in the Mountain Express.

The new long-awaited album that finally came out in November 2014 is called Electric Dream and is nearly impossible to pigeonhole. Probably it would best be described as some kind of electronic future rock pop with “bright world-beat grooves” as well as influences of hip-hop and punk.
