It’s just amazing how only two excellent musicians can catch you with such a variety of atmospheres, rhythms and styles in their songs. They are retro, intense, dynamic, diverse, rock, blues and soul food at the same time. While listening to their music you urgently want to play the air guitar and to bang your head in one moment whereas with the next song you get befallen with melancholic, touching reveries. You are curious? No wonder, because Hot Fiction, our latest band of the week, will definitely get you!

The two child prodigies we are talking about are Andy Yeoh who is playing the drums and Simon Miller who is performing some really rousing guitar riffs. Both of them are singing which is making their songs even more interesting and special.
In 2008, Hot Fiction got founded and is now implementing its artistic creations mainly in London. Their first album “Dark Room” was released only two years later and brought them also an international success. On the license-free platform jamendo this EP had been the most popular album for a couple of weeks.

Incredibly, their second music disk was even more critically acclaimed. “Apply Within” is one of the most famous albums in the department of rock and blues in the year 2012.  Therefore, it was quite clear that also some well-known public personalities have been drawing their attention to Hot Fiction. Christian Dior, for instance, strongly wooed for Yeoh and Miller and used their song “Start it off” for one TV-commercial in 2011. Also the popular radio channel “Absolute Radio” and the “BBC Introducing Mixtape” were promoting their funky, emotional singles.

Fortunately, their fans have the opportunity to get inflamed by the band on one of their numerous gigs on different festivals.
