Kourounia

The village of Kourounia, consisting of four settlements (mahalades), lies just behind the village of Egrigoros and about eighteen kilometers away from Volissos.

Lagada

Lagada is a beautiful fishing village along a lengthy cove located 18 kilometers from the city of Chios. The area is full of pines, olives and fruit-bearing trees.

The village of Leptopoda was founded in the northern district of today's village, near Emvolos. The houses are connected and served as a wall, protecting the residents in times of war, while the side-by-side rooftops gave the residents a chance to escape to the forest.

Limnia

The village of Limnia is located at the north west of Chios and just some minutes away from Volissos.

Lithi

The village of Lithi (actually "Lithimena") is located four kilometers away from Vessa (at a distance of 23 kilometers from the city of Chios). Its name comes probably from the attribute of "Alithis limin" (true heaven), given by the travelers finding shelter for the night there.

Marmaro

Marmaro is located in the north coast of Chios Island, 2 kilometers away from Kardamyla. The name of the village is caused by the white marble (in Greek: Mάρμαρο = "Marmaro") stone floors, which are in this area. It is a beautiful village with neoclassical and mansions buildings.
